SHARC Highlands Ranch Monthly Meeting

The Highlands Ranch STEM School is going to host the Highlands Ranch Branch of SHARC.

This meeting will normally be scheduled on the 4th Sunday of each month to not conflict with our meeting at Wings Over the Rockies on the 2nd Sunday.

For this first meeting at HR, Steven Gentner will present RoboRealm - An introduction to robot vision

1:00pm Intros / Announcements

1:20pm Presentation

3:00pm Member show and tell

3:30pm Line-following / Sumo Competition – bring your ‘bots!

See the Meetup Files for the Line Following contest.

If you have a line follower please bring it don't worry about the rules they are meant to provide order and consistency for fair competitions in awarding course titles but mainly to let you know what the challenge is. If your robot some how doesn't meet the rules then one of three things will occur, 1) the Judge may make a wavier condition and allow it.  2) you are allowed to run but just can't claim the competitions title for that course.  3) Enough other robots match your design criteria that a new class is opened for you to compete in. So you can have fun just might not be able to claim the title.  The next contest will up the challenge and you can maybe make adjustment so you can walk away with the title.  Plus remember you can rerun a prior competition (the same course) just at a future date as long as you given the leadership the heads-up if you wish to challenge the record title for that course.
