sixth TEEYAN and JAGO EVENT taking place on Saturday, 30th June 2012
from 2 pm to 6 pm at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Roding Lane, Chigwell, Essex. All ladies welcome to this
open inclusive event.
By popular demand, this event is called for by the ladies themselves as it gives them an opportunity to dress up
in their brightest clothes, come along to meet their friends, cast away the shadow of depression, learn the traditional
giddha singing and dancing and buy from stalls and get empowered and off their hidden talents.
Ekta Group ladies although senior in ages, are young at heart, and they know how to have a good time before
old age and illness beats them down. They really bring the Panjab village traditions alive and also show plays to
educate the ladies on how to look after themselves and where to go for help, should they find themselves in
difficulties. So come on ladies, if you have any talent, singing, dancing, poetry, jokes, get your books out and
come along and shine. Only £2 entrance fee. Raffle and Prizes Galore and Stalls are available at £25 each.
An event not to be missed, all women from all diverse communities, let us all get together and have fun
and forget our problems for an afternoon.
Kind Regards from
Cllr Balvinder Saund
Chair, Sikh Women's Alliance.
