Welcome, South Jersey Community-Minded People!

Meet other local people interested in creating a rural intentional community based in South Jersey (w/in 45 minutes of Philly). My vision is for affordability that can help facilitate alternative lifestyles (holistic living, spriritual paths, etc), alternative families (ie single parents), and various levels of community involvement (including some communal living, some renting, some home ownership, etc).

I would hope to live simplistically to allow more rich living and a lifestyle more integral with our values, allowing us to pursue careers (including community-run businesses) that we enjoy doing and that speak from our hearts. I would hope to allow for more community support, a childcare co-op, sharing of resources (including a common house that would provide for office space, a shared library, maybe even a commercial kitchen, etc), and a true sense of community and support we all deserve.

I would like to consider natural materials for home building, such as strawbale, earth plaster, and other affordable materials (maybe even some salvaging/scavenging!). The goal is to make a truly sustainable community by making it truly economically affordable, maybe even mortgage free.
