Introduction

I would like to meet other people who enjoy the outdoors as much as I do. I try to go kayaking once a week, often alone because it can be hard to find someone who happens to be available for the same time. I also love hiking, ski touring, camping.

Do you have a kayak? What kind?

Yes. Made of wood, fast, and holds a lot of gear.

Where have you paddled on the west coast?

From Nanaimo to Jordan River, some paddling around Tofino, the deer and broken groups, Telegraph cove, Gods Pocket on the north of the island, and Desolation sound.

Are you interested in organizing trips?

I would be open to that

What kind of trips would you like to do with the SKUNCS?

I mostly have time for day trips or short overnight, like one night, which can be a lot of fun.

What do you enjoy most about sea kayaking?

I love the ocean, and I love the workout it gives me. I always feel great after a paddle

Hi Paulo,

I will not be at Thetis lake because my poor baby is quite sick. We went to swan lake, but were late so we did not run into you, although we had a great time there on our own. I am so glad there is an active outdoors group. Hopefully we will be well enough by Monday for mt. Doug.

Hey! Sorry for getting back to you so late. I would love to make some plans to get together with the group sometime soon, it would be so nice to meet some people who are interested in the outdoors. I am usually only really able to get together on the weekends for hikes at the moment, unless the destination is relatively close to my place. Are there any thoughts of a meetup this weekend? We are all game here if so! :)

I hope you are finding this group to your satisfaction...I joined a short while ago, and have gone to 3 very fun meetups. Going to Ross Bay, and will definitely get out of my jam-packed seating are, and mingle! Hard in a small space, but where there is a will,,,etc. Please say hello to me so I don't feel like a total dork if you see me....!
