Each meeting will have an expert speaker presenting on strategies for business planning, financial management, marketing, or other topics and tips for entrepreneurs.
October's Speaker is Jordan Kasteler - who is internationally regarded as one of the top thinkers on SEO and Social Media. He will be discussing strategies to use creative content to drive social mentions and links. Given his reputation, we expect this event to be full and we will limit attendees to keep the networking high quality. He will also accept questions and answers from the audience at the end.
Jordan Kasteler, has been avidly involved in Internet marketing and SEO since 2001. He currently is SVP of Content Development and Managing Partner at BlueGlass Interactive, Inc., an industry leading agency in social media marketing and search engine optimization. His prior experience includes co-founding the agency Search & Social and working in-house at Overstock.com.
In addition to consulting, his company hosts Internet marketing events and owns one of the search engine industry leading publishing sites, Search Engine Journal.
While Jordan’s experience lends itself to the technical SEO, his primary focus is developing linkbait content and promoting it with social media.
Jordan received the Social Media Club’s Best Social Media Content Guru award in 2009, is a regular speaker at various Internet marketing conferences, and a regular contributor to SearchEngineLand, SearchEnginePeople, and SearchEngineJournal.
We have 60 minutes for networking from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and leave time after the speaker and Q & A for more networking. Many networking events in the valley require fees or are sales pitches in disguise. This meetup is co-hosted by the University of Utah Technology Commercialization Office. Meetings are facilitated by Richard Swart, PhD, a former faculty member at the Huntsman School of Business and is the founder of Salt Lake City's leading professional networking organization, the Connection Compass.
Nicole, there is no fee for the meeting. Please come and network and have a great time.
Parking is in the lot directly west of the Officer's Club. We expect a very full house. The officers club can be tricky to find. There is a TRAX stop directly to the west. Take the suspension bridge and you arrive in the Officer's Club parking lot.
I am holding an open house tour 5-8 pm at federal heights 5-8pm! Next time
What a great evening. Event was on time, great networking, relaxed and fun environment.
Extremely well moderated event, amazing speaker, and a great networking opportunity. No wonder this group is growing exponentially!

This sounds amazing! Great introduction to the group for me. Sorry, I was a little confused--is there a fee associated with attending?
