Come play Classical Ensemble Music - Salt Lake City

Do you love to play Classical Music and miss playing music with others? We are an adult group that plays small chamber music pieces.  We will select music for various combinations of instruments for string ensembles, quartets, trios and small orchestra pieces.  If you play violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, harp, oboe or clarinet, please come join us.  We definitely need pianists!  We will focus on pieces from the Baroque to Romantic time periods. We are seasoned intermediate to advanced players.  Come just play for fun during rehearsals or join us in giving small house concerts.  We met on Feb 10th 2013 for the first time to play Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances Suite no 1. We need more players to cover all the parts.  We will be select new pieces.  Join us!

We meet the 4th Sunday of every month from 3-5pm. Everyone will bring an appetizer to share so after the rehearsal we can visit and get to know each other. Join us to play great music and establish friendships.

Could a classical guitar possibly fit in? Not hard feelings if not, no hard feelings.

Yes! Please come. We are doing mostly quartet arrangements given our current size. Do you read treble clef? If so you can play one of the violin parts.

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow. We have a performance set up at a rest home on May 19th during our normal 3-5pm rehearsal time on about 45th south and 16th east. They are really looking forward for some music therapy from us : - ) Marie is bringing some easy quartet music and I have some easy pretty arrangements we can sight read as well. I am going to contact another retirement center close by so maybe we can play at the first one for 30 minutes and then go play at the other one etc. Please be on time tomorrow so we can play this new music and make sure we are confident to perform next time!

Jamie and Mat will be joining us this Sunday near the end of our rehearsal to meet everyone and play the Entertainer. They are from Boston and just moved here for jobs and are looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

    See you all soon,

    Anna
