MCAS Presents: Field Trip, El Chorro Regional Park

Field Trip, El Chorro Regional Park

Saturday, November 16 from 7:30am - 11:00am

Join leader Steve Griffith from for a morning of birding around the grounds of El Chorro Regional Park. 

Meet Steve at 7:30am in the first parking lot after the park entrance. 

There are no daily fees for park use this time of year. Plan on 1-2 miles of easy walking. All ages and abilities are welcome. Bring binoculars, water, and snacks. Restrooms are available at several locations along the walk. 

El Chorro Regional Park is located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay on Highway 1 directly across from Cuesta Community College.

    I seem to be the only one signed up. If that is the case, I think i will bow out. I have a Spanish Meetup normally scheduled for Sat. morning, but was going to skip it for the birding experience. So, if no one signs up tomorrow, I won't attend.

      Hi Judy! While there may not be anyone else from our meetup group going yet, there will still be some awesome people from Audubon. I understand why you might be hesitant to attend though! We're going to attempt to start posting events that are more social in addition to these volunteer and exploring events. :)
