SLOBG Presents: Edible & Medicinal Plants of SLO

Edible & Medicinal Plants of SLO

Tuesday, March 18, 6 PM - 7:30 PM

Tellur Fenner, Blue Wind Botanical Medicine Clinic

During this fascinating talk we will explore a number of the more common (and lesser known) native/non-native plants found growing throughout the Central Coast, with a focus on historical as well as modern use.

Topics to be covered include: botany/plant I.D, plant family characteristics, ethical harvesting/processing/preparation methods, edible/medicinal uses, botanical safety issues, and more!

This introductory class will prove insightful and rewarding for anyone interested in knowing more about the unique flora of the region.

Tellur Fenner is a clinical herbalist/educator and has traveled extensively throughout the US while studying, collecting, teaching, and using plant medicines from all the major bioregions. Tellur is the owner/director of the Blue Wind Botanical Medicine Clinic and Education Center located in Oakland, CA.

Presentation is $5 for SLOBG members/$10 non-members.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
