Announcing the first MongoDB Sydney conference

Hi SMAQers,

If you're into key/document stores or internet memes, you've undoubtedly heard of MongoDB - almost certainly the most popular "NoSQL" solution available today.

10gen, the folks behind Mongo, are kicking off Australia's first official MongoDB conference in March here in Sydney. A few folks from SMAQDown will be presenting some real-world warts-and-all case studies on MongoDB as well as some great talks from visiting 10gen. The event is pitched to cater both to those new to Mongo and experienced engineers alike, and at $35, it's one of the cheapest tech conferences you'll ever attend.

Early bird registration ends soon, so make sure you get in quick.

Details and registration -

And happy new year! It's gonna be a big year for big data...
