2001 N Orchard, Chicago, IL
Join us for a fun night of volleyball every Wednesday at LPHS.
We will break out into teams of 4's or 6's. We have 1 courts on Wendesday nights this season. Space is VERY limited! At the start of the event, we'll divide teams up and rotate match-ups after every game. This format is designed to get everyone a lot of this playing time! We will also keep mixing the teams so the level is challenging but no one team dominates the gym.
While we check players in, feel free to warm up on the courts until we're ready to start. Please note that you may not be allowed on the court until 6:30. Expect the first round of games to start by 6:45. This open gym ends at 8:15.
Gender ratio is based on who comes out that night. There is no male/female hitting or line-up rule and teams can line up as they want.
Cost: Note that there is an incentive to RSVP and pay in advance. Walk-ups are welcome but RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
RSVP and pay online = $8
RSVP and pay in person = $9
Come out that night and pay = $10
If you want to bring a ball, that's fine but we will have balls and net set up ready to play.
RSVP is open until the start of the event. As long as you see 8 people signed up, the event is a GO. Note that placement is first show/first play. As we do not overfill, try to get there early to secure your spot.
Note that even if you pay in advance, we will only hold RSVP's for 10 minutes after advertised start. After that, we open space to the show-up folks. There are no refunds for no-shows or lost spots due to late arrival.
Come out and enjoy some volleyball with Sports Monster! And bring a friend!
FACILITY INFO - Parking is free in the lot off Armitage. Enter main building/main entrance and go upstairs to gyms. We are using the smaller gym (court 4).
If you wish to stay and play in the 8:30 session, please re-check-in with the event organizer.
Refunds offered if:
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
