The Grand Budapest Hotel at - Meet at 3:45

Join the Washington DC Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, March 16th at the 4:15 showing of The Grand Budapest Hotel at the Landmark E Street Cinema. Look for Brian A. wearing a brown sweater in the ground floor theatre lobby near the top of the escalators about 30 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.

Writer/director Wes Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums) returns with The Grand Budapest Hotel, which recounts the adventures of Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The dramatic comedy involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune - all against the backdrop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent. All-star ensemble cast also includes F. Murray Abraham, Tom Wilkinson, Owen Wilson, Adrian Brody, Tilda Swinton, Mathieu Amalric, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum, Saoirse Ronan and Edward Norton.

We got there but they were sold out until 5:45 I think. Hope to meet up next time.

Waited too long, too. I got a ticket for the 5:15. If anyone else is in the same boat maybe we can do a second crew for that showing.

Waited too long to order and now tickets are unavailable (online at least). I should have known the demand for Wes Anderson based on its per screen averages last weekend. Argh. Really wanted to meet up with the group. I'll try to attend one of the meetings soon though.

Brian, it looks like they added some new showings, including one at 4. If you don't mind getting there early and waiting for us, you could still join up with the group after our showing.

Great idea man. Ordered tickets for the 4 o'clock showing. Maybe I'll see you guys at the theater prior to heading in for my showing and I'll hang around afterwards to meet up.

This is my first meetup with you guys. Is it generally a good idea to get your ticket ahead of time, or can we just get them when we arrive the day of? Looking forward to it!

Generally it's not necessary to get tickets ahead of time, but it depends on the movie. Since this is opening weekend and The Grand Budapest Hotel is likely to be popular, I think it's a good idea to by your ticket early.

Buy your ticket, of course. Don't "by" it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
