The Master at Landmark E Street - Meet at 4 pm

Join the Washington DC Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, Sep 23rd at the 4:30 showing of The Master at the Landmark E Street Cinema. Look for Brian wearing a grey t-shirt with a red maple leaf and the phrase “Let’s Go to the Mall!” in the theatre lobby about 30 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.

A striking portrait of drifters and seekers in post-World War II America, The Master unfolds the journey of a Navy veteran (Joaquin Phoenix) who arrives home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future until he is tantalized by The Cause and its charismatic leader (Philip Seymour Hoffman). Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Magnolia, Boogie Nights), the drama co-stars Amy Adams and features an original score by Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead.
