"MONSTERS: THE BEAST THINGS IN LIFE": Our first Sing-In

STSANY will be presenting a staged reading of Monsters: The Beast Things in Life, a musical play, in early Spring (probably April), and a fully-staged production in the Fall of 2012.
At our Sing-Ins we will begin reading through this very funny, heartwarming play with music, i.e., the dialogue and songs, in preparation for more formal auditions which will be open to both STSANY members and non-members, in early March. All STSANY members are encouraged to participate. It's a great chance for you to sing and act, and perhaps awaken latent talent. If you like singing in a chorus, you'll enjoy this play. The music is not difficult.
If you are interested in participating in the staged reading and/or the auditions, you must attend at least two of the Sing-Ins (others TBA). There are major roles, secondary roles (some to be created) and chorus parts. Here's a description of "Monsters":
MONSTERS: THE BEAST THINGS IN LIFE: A COMIC MUSICAL PLAY FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. Monsters is a comic musical play for children of all ages (or children and their families) about a monster contest in a school (or other organization: TBA). The cast includes: Count Dracula (Egotistical, Fatuous and Inept); Dracula’s bride, Sangria (A Latin American take-charge “bombshell”); the Mummy, (Shy but determined to find her way in life); the Werewolf (A punk rock, know-it-all ridiculous character); Frankenstein (A big lug frightened of his own shadow), as well as a chorus of ghosts, and possibly one or two other characters. The play is both hilarious and yet touching as it emphasizes the importance of friendship, self-esteem, loyalty, self-awareness (beingproud of who you are) and the ability of everyone to be anything they want to be.
This Sing-In will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.We will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the meetup. Please also remember to RSVP or to change your RSVP if you find you cannot attend. Cost: $15 for participants; $7 for observers (cash at the door - exact amount, please)

Would like to join the sing-in, but I usually work Saturday mornings. Will there be any rehearsals on weekdays or Sunday?
