4th of July Picnic
Our picnic this month is the Fourth of July picnic held at the Henry Hudson Park. The park is located in the Town of Bethlehem and is right on the Hudson River. The fun starts at 11:30 and continues until everyone leaves. There will be card games, canoeing, kayaking, softball, horseshoes, grilling by our volunteer cooks (eating begins at 1pm) and music for dancing by Fred Jacobs. The meal is potluck, so bring a dish to share. Be creative or just bring some hamburgers to share. Cook up a storm or stop at the store! Whatever fits your life style.
There is an entrance fee ($3 SOS members; $5 non-members), plus door prizes, a raffle and a scavenger hunt. There is no charge for children under twelve and no pets are allowed. The park facilities include a boat launch, accessible fishing areas and a pavilion.
Come on out and join the fun!
