Welcome to the South Shore Travel Group (you don’t have to be from the south shore to belong, it just home base for this meetup group, we welcome members from all towns and states).

This group is for DAY and WEEKEND trips and WEEK long travel VACATION GETAWAYS. We have recently added bus trips, they also will be a mix of some day trips, weekends and week long trips.

This meetup is for all genders, although we may offer some trips that are women only,which are being run out of the Women's Travel Group, but want to share them with the the south shore ladies.

Why travel alone when you can travel with others who share the same interest as you, while forming friendships and visiting beautiful TRAVEL destinations. This is a perfect solution and better than going on vacation solo, it’s easier, and safer being in the company of others and more fun! Our intent in establishing this group is to attract fun loving members, who tend to share similar interest, are open to new friendships and ideas. Our members are also looking for travel companions, some of you might travel alone, others with a friend or relative. Our members are married, single, widowed and divorced, who are interested in traveling in the company of others. Why not join us….make some new friendships, share some laughter, stories and create some new memories. Enjoy the camaraderie and security of being with a group., who knows you may develop friendships that will last a lifetime. I am here to gather information from group on where we would like to travel next, get pricing, post event, coordinate deposit and payments with our travel agent, etc. Once we are on trip I am just as much a passenger as you. The events offered at our travel locations will always draw groups to them, we all won't have the same interest, that is what makes this group so much fun, you pick and chose what activities you want to do and groups form! Flynn Travel is our acting Travel Agent, you can find her information on the side bar to the left. WHAT WE ARE NOT....we are not a group that goes for super sale deals off season (Mexico in August)...I would not post a trip to Bermuda during high hurricane season, but rather in Mid June- early July when chances are better for better weather. Same is true to International travel, we try not to travel on high peak dates, but maybe a little earlier in the season or later, after all who wants to see Italy in the cold/rain. Also a lot of the super saver deals you see online ARE NOT available for group. When filing out information for a roommate...PLEASE be honest on your questionnaire form, we do not want to pair up someone who snores with someone who does not, that would not make a good vacation for either! We do get people who snore and have others to match them with. So again, please be honest! The only age requirements we have is you must be 21 years of age. I have found that when I travel I end up mingling with all various age groups and sometimes have had the best time with members in their 20’s and on the next some that may be in their 60’s. Net, net age is not important, it’s the person within! We will try to chose vacations based on interest. Your interaction in our Meetup group is very important. For this group to be a success we will need members to leave feedback, and be active on posting ideas and responding to correspondence. Please be respectful of others in the group. Being disrespectful is grounds for removal from the group. We are an easy going, jeans and sneakers type of members, who are non-judgemental..... into this group. No need to pack 3 suitcases to be the best dressed on our vacations! LOL All we ask is that you be "yourself". NO VENDORS are to be listed on site without prior approval from the Organizer, or you may be removed from this meetup. NO TRAVEL PACKAGES can be sold to other members (ie you purchased a trip outside of our meetup and cannot make it), without prior approval from the Organizer, or you may be removed from Meetup. This is for your protection. South Shore Travel Group is in no way responsible for any lost deposits due to late cancellations. Indemity Agreement: By joining our meetup group you agree to hold the South Shore Travel Group and it's organizer, Sue Collins, and Co-organizers free from liability or responsibility what so ever with regard to any negligent or intentional conduct of any third party including but not limited to Tour Company, Property Owners, etc. resulting in the loss of personal property, physical injury, monetary loss with regard to an event/meetup. In signing up, paying and attending any of our listed tours you are in agreement to the above. If you rsvp adding a guest/s to an event they are also subject to the same Indemity Agreement. Because we do not supervise or control the Meetup Group Meetings or interactions among or between members of Meetup Groups or Meetup Everywheres and other persons or companies, and because we are not involved in any way with physical transportation to or from Meetup Meetings or with the actions of any individuals at Meetup Meetings, and because we do not control Amazon.com, PayPal, credit card companies or other payment processing companies, and because we cannot guarantee the true identity, age, 3.3(b) (Meetup Everywhere Fees; New Meetup Everywhere Activation Fees), nationality of Platform users, and because we have very limited control, if any, over the quality, safety, morality, legality, truthfulness or accuracy of various aspects of the Platform you agree that you bear all risk and you agree to release us (and our officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, and third party partners) and Organizers and Creators or Hosts and their designees from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, now and in the future, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Platform, your Third Party Transactions, our resolution of any disputes among users, and/or your transportation to or from, attendance at, or the actions of you or other persons at, a Meetup Gathering. You further waive any and all rights and benefits otherwise conferred by any statutory or non-statutory law of any jurisdiction that would purport to limit the scope of a release or waiver. You waive and relinquish all rights and benefits which you have or may have under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of the State of California or any similar provision of the statutory or non-statutory law of any other jurisdiction (including without limitation the states of Missouri, Delaware and Pennsylvania) to the full extent that you may lawfully waive all such rights and benefits.
