Our Inaugural Meeting/Exchange

Our first meeting where we will get to know each other, discuss more what the group is about, and do a little exchanging. Grab that extra seedling that you couldn't squeeze into the garden, or a bunch of plants you just removed to make room for vegetables. My point is that you can bring a lot or nothing at all as this meeting is more about us gathering together. If you do want to bring something you baked, made, or canned, be sure that at least one of the ingredients was from something you grew. There are plenty of other great food swaps around that aren't directly garden related to be part of. I will have some light snacks and drinks but feel free to bring something to share as well.

Fantastic. Amazing. Michelle did such a great job organizing the group, the plant exchange, the discussions, crafts for the kids, etc.
Wonderful to meet people with the same gardening passion.

I did not know what to expect or even do. I knew I was going to come home w/ a plant. Instead I came home w/ a bunch of plants that I actually needed. Everyone was very nice. We have a good group. I had that "better to give than receive" feeling when came to the meeting. The meeting was the highlight of my weekend and/or week at that!

What a nice first meeting! Everyone was so relaxed with each other. Michelle is a wonderful, very organized team leader. Thank You Michelle! I was pleasantly surprised at the number of people and the distances from whence they come for our local group. It'll be fun to learn and share from each other.

Just great. I love everyone that was there. And my new plants are phenomenal. Who would have ever thought I'd be forced to grow tomatoes:)

There is a south pas nature park cleanup (www.nativebydesign.blogspot.com) scheduled for same day, 9am-noon so I can't make it. Very interested though.

There has been a quarantine issued for citrus in parts of southern California. If you live in or near the affected area please do not bring citrus from your trees to exchange. Here is a link with more information and a map. http://www.pasadenastarnews.com...

I set a location for this event, but it could change closer to the date. Looking for possible locations indoors too in case of wet weather. Feel free to suggest somewhere if you have some ideas.
