Gardening is not my hobby... it's my sanctuary
Since college... a long time ago :)
I'm in the area on weekdays when I take care of my kids. Some weekends so I can take my youngest to the event. She'll be a Freshman @ SPHS next year.
I like taking photos of nice gardens... that's my expertise :)

I have a 2 small herb gardens - one in South Pasadena (where my kids live) and one in Santa Monica (where I live). I have just planted basil in my herb garden before the second storm. They are seedlings as most nurseries were out of basil. I hope it didn't take a pounding :) I'm looking forward to the meeting and bringing my youngest (14). My oldest is graduating from SPHS this June. I have been trying to entice them to garden. How do I upload pictures in for this forum?
Thanks for the kind words Mari. I have almost my whole back yard working these days. Its absurd with several row beds, one square one for corn and peripheral fruit vines and trees. I call it 'the back 40'--an homage to my Okie roots. I wanted to post photos but its just dirt right now since I am between crops. Tonight is a new moon, so I will be planting into the evening. Now, that is crazy. This is the first time I plant to the lunar calendar, but it shows how far gone I am getting
