Do you love LGBTQIA films and media content (including web series)?
How about Lesbian, Gay, Bi/Pan, Trans, Intersexed, Gender Variant, Queer and Ally art exhibits, film premieres, performances and cinematic events?
Are you interested in meeting other positive, forward thinking LGBTQIA folkz who enjoy experiencing our diverse reflections on film and who are building community ties across the spectrum?
Since December 2012, Spectrum has been screening a weekly film series (SPECTRUM SUNDAYS) of high quality LGBTQIA film content in Oakland, California... To our delight the weekly is continuing in 2014 and has now expanded to three Oakland venues - The New Parkway - The Grand Lake Coffee House - and Venue.
Having provided warm gatherings to well over 2 thousand people, this meet up is an online location where our Spectrum mission (to provide authentic healing media content and conversation for Everyone in the Rainbow) can flourish even moreso. We believe that we ALL grow by seeing different facets of our ENTIRE LGBTQIA family onscreen in and in person.
Our Queer screenings (documentaries, newly released features, vintage films, art exhibits, Q&As, performances and more) always feature a community connection session - where folkz can meet and greet in a relaxed and uplifting manner. We also feature fun game nights, theater, music and dance events for our communities to experience together. All of our screening/performance venues have been handpicked - each welcoming space offers ample comfortable seating, real food (not your typical theater fare) and beverages, and most importantly a place where we all are celebrated.
