University of Pitt Research Study

Healthy Volunteers Wanted

for Research Study

The Biodynamics Lab at the University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking healthy volunteers to participate in a research study investigating the movement of the bones in the neck.

You may qualify for this study if you:

  1. Are between 20-35 years of age

  2. Have no history of osteoporosis

  3. Have no history of spine surgery, injury, or disease

  4. Are male or a non-pregnant, non-breastfeeding female

  5. Are in generally good health

  6. Are a Non-Smoker

The study will involve having a CT scan of your neck along with high-speed x-ray images of your neck while you perform flexion-extension, twist rotation and side-to-side bending of your head and neck. You will also be asked to complete some questionnaires about your neck.

Participation will take about 2 hours of your time.

Participants will be compensated $100 for completing the study.

If you meet the above criteria and would like more information, please contact the Biodynamics Lab at:

***The date listed for this event is only because I have to enter a date to schedule a meetup.  If you want more information about the study, email the address mentioned above.  You do NOT need to RSVP for this event as that will NOT get you an appointment.  This is simply a way for me to help the research lab get more subjects to study for their research.***
