Thanks Jack and John for the wonderful and inspirational presentation, very impressive work as well! Would it be possible to share the powerpoint slides (including your images) for all of us to refer?

I learned more than I expected to learn.
    1. Great results can be obtained with minimal investment.
    2. Remarkable shots can be taken using some reasonable cost equipment.
The presenters were very free with sharing their techniques.

Great fun, great presentations! A bit crowded. Suggest a limit for future hands-on learnshops so we have more time to do the actual interactive part. Loved the equipment and set-ups! Great insight into some excellent shooting.

Hands down the best thing about SPS is its members willingness to share with each other. Thanks, Jack and John, for taking the time and effort to bring your "studios" to the meeting and for giving us great insights into the world of tabletop photography.

Looks like about 40 non-SPS members listed. Isn't Learnshop for members only...sure going to be crowded.

Here is an example of what you will need to create a cube: http://www.instructables.com/id/Light-Studio-for-Photographers-Tabletop/?ALLSTEPS

I too am a beginner. What is a cube? Now that's a beginner. I have and umbrella that acts as a soft box as well. I am playing around with that.

I am interested in learning to take picture to silver jewelry. I'd like to learn more about the lighting, and anything else that can be done to get a good color, clear picture and no more shine. I am a beginner and I'm figuring out this myself. I started building my own cube with full sprectum lights, etc. But I think I am missing the right settings in my camera.
