Since I was five years old. Mom gave me a little Brownie Box Camera that measured about 1.5 inches x 2 inches. I was hooked. Later I made my living as a phototographer. I was a photographer for Louisville Magazine, University of Louisville Health Sciences Center, Tulane University Medical Center, Louisville Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Dance Council, Inc., Pan American Life Insurance Company and New Orleans Yacht Club and private clients; was also a stringer for USA Today; and I have placed many photos in the Louisville Courier Journal and New Orleans Times Picayune.
Now a Canon, 2 Sonys, Nikon
Former Pro; current advanced artist
When I first came to Atlanta in 1989, I attended SPS meetings but did not join. Now several of my friends belong and I love the group's enthusiasm.
I was an art/journalism major; worked as a professional photogrpaher for many years and also as a computer scientist. I now combine all 3 interests in the work that I do.
I love this group because everyone is so enthusiastic about photography and so many participate in activities. The competitions are fun because they keep you on your toes and sharpen your skills.
