I've had cameras for about as long as I can remember, but I started taking it seriously (i.e. started spending more money on it) around 2007, when I bought a Nikon D80. It was my first venture into digital, and I've been obsessed ever since.
I'm a Nikon girl, through and through. My favorite camera is my D700, but I just bought a D7000 to use as a backup, and I'm liking it too.
I put myself at different levels for the different ways to get to the photo I want. I'm very advanced in PhotoShop (and to a slightly lesser degree, Lightroom) because I'm a graphic designer who works in those programs day in and day out, so I know how to squeeze what I want out of them. Composing photos, I'd say advanced... again, based on my design experience. Knowing all of the functions on my camera and when to use them... I'd say intermediate. Indoor lighting, underwater, and any kind of specialty photography... pretty much a beginner.
I work with Ken and Elton :)
Hi, all! I'm looking forward to meeting you and learning from you, and hopefully, having fun and making new friends.
So far, so good! Seems well-organized. Looking forward to attending more meetups.
