Hi all SSCUM players,
Just a reminder that our next club meeting is at Tradies on Monday 1st October. Check at the door which function room. Commencing prompty at 6:30pm, if possible try to come about 15 minutes earlier to allow time for Shirley to process you at the door and for you tosay hello and get settled before we start. Or come even earlier and have a bite to eat at the great bistro in the refurbished club.

Shirley will have some more copies of the Uke Club songbook for those who requested- 365 songs at $40 each. Some have picked up theirs already.

Do you have a song you would like to present to others? Please do so and just let your host for the night know.
Your host for the evening as previously mentioned is Dennis Aubrey. He knows 2 million popular songs and will probably do half of them with you on the night. He really pumps them out and has a lot to offer in the way of learning new skills and tips on the uke. There will be maximum opportunity to join in. He runs his own classes of a Sunday morning at Marrickville as well as leading a busy life entertaining around town along with his singing partner Peter Purton. Ask him if he brought his cd's of original recording with him.
Dennis and Pete were two of the best performers at last Sunday's Springstrum Uke Festival held in Wollongong, among the many great acts present.

Please try and get along to this one in big numbers and give Dennis a big welcome. You are guaranteed of a great night's fun. Whether a beginner or a handy player, you will come away learning something from Dennis.
$7 donation requested to give Shirley on entry helps defray some of several costs we have to put on these great nights.

Cheers
John.
