Chapter Meeting & Spelunker Ride

Come a little early to have breakfast before/during the chapter meeting.  We'll try to keep it short & sweet since we lack privacy at the restaurant.

If you like quiet country roads, with rolling, curvy hills with long sweeping turns, beautiful expansive views, while crossing a few streams, and riding in and out of shade, this ride may just be for you. It is approximately 85 miles from Manassas to our lunch destination where you can enjoy a Cavern burger and a shake. It will take just over 2 hours to get there. The return route will be determined by majority of interest just prior to departing our lunch venue. The Ride Leader will be Hatchet.

Tail Gunner will be Roger.

Stay tuned for more information as it develops.

I feel a little awkward rating my own ride, but quite frankly it was awesome! Those who took me up on challenging the dreary weather forecast really came out on top for the day. We were rewarded with great roads, and great views. Those who chicken'd out really missed a good one.

Sorry but I won't be able to make it after all. Too busy of a weekend with activities tonight and all day Sunday. Praying you have "clear skies" for the ride.

Happy to see such an enthusiastic response. Even though we may get wet, this ride is intended to go on UNLESS the weather is REALLY bad. Our first decision of "Go" or "No Go" will be made at the meeting. Simply put, if the weather concerns you to the point of feeling unsafe, or otherwise uncomfortable, please stay dry and ride another day. With the warmer temps, sometimes it is good to seek opportunities to try out rain gear and lens defogger. If you are such an adventurer, check the forecast and prepare as you see fit.

Wanted to attend but can't. I have to head to Ohio for a week on business this Thursday. Will try and hook up with all you nice folks and riders at the next event.

Crossing streams??? I guess if ya'lls cruisers aren't afraid of a little (?) water, my Beemer can suffer thru it

We just pull our pant legs up. The water may be cold, but not too deep.

The recon ride Hatchet and I did was cool. But be sure to have a full gas tank and an empty bladder before hitting the road. Once we veer off Route 28, there are no real stopping points until we get to Front Royal and lunch.

Roger is right. You may want to limit your coffee on this ride day.

This sounds great. Unfortunately, I have the on-call rotation at work over that weekend so will be unable to join this ride. Total bummer.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
