A variety of things. I think it will be a great hobby to tinker with, and I like the idea of being able to make/repair things around the house. I'm currently in college for mechanical engineering, so I want a printer for prototyping designs for school as well as for any ideas I get on my own. I think that this technology will become more and more prevalent in my career field, so I hope to get some experience under my belt before I even enter the workforce.
I don't know of anything in particular. I just want to come and listen to, chat with, and learn from people who have more experience than I do with 3D printers, and hopefully I can reach the point where I can pass that knowledge on to others.
I'm a home school graduate and college student majoring in mechanical engineering. I enjoy messing around with Arduino, and I'm especially fascinated by robotics relating to things like prosthetics and exoskeleton technology.
