As a testament to how vital water is to our lives, reportedly we can survive about 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food. It’s estimated 1 human needs 5-13 gallons of water per day for basic needs (i.e., drinking, cooking, cleaning), yet about 1 billion of Earth’s citizens still don’t have clean water.
Considering water’s a necessity of life, what is and isn’t in it, what should and shouldn’t be in it, how’s it cleaned, and what resources are needed to clean and distribute it?
On Tuesday 18 February 2013 from 630pm-9pm gather with St. Louis Green Drinks to whet your whistle and together figure out what we can clear up about a seemingly simple resource.

If you or anyone you know has shoes (gently used or new) that are no longer needed or wanted, bring them! They'll be exported to street vendors in places like the Caribbean, Africa, and South America; that revenue will fund clean water programs around the world.
