Metaprogramming with JavaScript

Meetup starts at 6:30pm, with 30 minutes of social time. Beginning at 7pm, LockerDome's Nick Apperson will present Metaprogramming with JavaScript:

Why write your own code when you can have a computer do it for you? Metaprogramming allows developers to literally create an army of programmers that flawlessly craft our code for us. Nick will demonstrate how to use metaprogramming to make code that runs faster and more correctly with less development time.

Starting about 8:15pm, we'll move into a hacking session to experiment with the material that's been presented, and with JavaScript and node.js in general.

Complementary sodas and sandwiches will be provided, and the pub downstairs serves good beer, so come hungry, come thirsty, bring your laptop and be ready to code!

I recorded the video, but haven't yet processed and uploaded it to vimeo.com. I hope to have that done by the end of the week, and will post another comment here once that's done.

Damb it. Really wanted to be there, but feeling quite sick. Don't want to make anyone else feel this way.

@cameron - I've been in touch with Mark and I can give him a ride both ways. Sorry you'll miss the meeting - looks really interesting!

This meetup was originally scheduled for February 21, but was cancelled owing to inclement weather. I decided to bump the whole STLJS schedule back by one month, and I hope many of you who planned to attend in February will be able to make it instead on March 21.
