The Higgs Boson and the Fate of the Universe

Please keep in mind we are meeting 30 minutes before the event begins to chat and find seats! THIS EVENT WILL BE VERY POPULAR. PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!

Featured Speaker: Joseph D. Lykken, Ph.D.,Theoretical Physicist, Theoretical Physics Department, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory

As part of the biggest science experiment ever attempted, physicists have discovered the Higgs boson, at the Large Hadron

Collider in Switzerland. Now a new generation of young scientists, many of them from the USA, are finding creative ways to get this elusive particle, often referred to in popular media as the "god particle," to reveal its secrets. This is a story with many surprises and challenges, including exploding magnets, international conspiracies, dark matter, invisible energy fields, and possibly the end of the universe.

Is this event in the same building as "The Living World" at the zoo? Also, will there be an admission? I am so excited! I love reading about and learning what Fermilab is up to.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
