Milwaukee Brewers @ St. Louis Cardinals

Spring's back, and that means the Cardinals are back, too! There's pretty much no more St. Louisian activity that catching a Cards game. St. Louis is an excellent baseball town and every game is strongly attended! And yes, the Cardinals are going to be very good again this year.

The first month of the season is full of games against division rivals which will be a) harder to get tickets for and thus b) more expensive. So we'll wait until the end of April and shoot for a weeknight game against the relatively lackluster Brewers (still a division foe, but not a heated rivalry) -- it'll be easier to get the whole group to the game. A lot of people in our group might not be baseball fans and probably have no intention of paying a premium to see the Cards play a particular team, so there's no point in targeting a Cards-Cubs game or something.

EDIT: See the comments for details about tickets!

Okay, nitty-gritty aside, if you're thinking: "Hey, I want to go to a Cardinals game, but what I really want is a giant baseball nerd to talk my ear off about the Cardinals for three hours!" No problem. Just come to the game and sit somewhere close to me. :)

Take me out to the ballgame
Take me out to the crowd
Buy my some peanuts and cracker jack
I don't care if I ever get back
Cuz it's root root root for the Carrrrdinals...

It's drizzling and getting pretty chilly downtown. Bring an umbrella and coat!

Boss is coming down from Chicago tomorrow, and I need to get some things wrapped up at work before he gets here. Can't make it tonight, but paid for my ticket via Paypal. Thanks for organizing this, hope to catch the next one!

Hey man, no worries. Glad it only cost you $8. Good luck with the work, we'll see ya some other time.

We're sitting in the fourth row of the upper deck behind home plate. In the interest of price, we'll all be in one row instead of two. But anyway, tickets were $8 each, so yeah, stupid cheap. As some of you know, Zack and I live downtown -- about a 15 minute walk from the stadium. If you'd like to come to our place and have a drink or three, you're welcome to do so. Please contribute some beer or something if you plan to pre-game pre-game (I sure do!). You can get to our place anytime after 5:30 or so.

If you don't know our address, text me at[masked], let me know who you are, and I'll send it to you. If you're Metrolinking, taking it to our place is painless.

If you'd rather meet us at the game, that's fine too -- be out in front of the stadium at 7:00 or so. If you're going to be late, let me know, and I'll email you your ticket.

You can pay me the $8 by Venmo (use the above phone number), Paypal ([masked]), or cash at the game.

    Any questions, ask away!

Awesome. Great prices. Looks like a 50/50 chance of rain tomorrow during the game and plenty of rain ahead of time. I'll keep an eye out for official rainout notices, although I think they tend to do that real late if at all and I'll see you at the Stadium!

So cannot wait for this! I'm gonna be wearing my new David freese jersey. Yes, I know he got traded (sob!), but he's my hometown boy! Plus the jerseys were dirt cheap!

If you don't come over to our place before the game tomorow, we'll meet tomorrow at the Stan Musial statue at about 7:00pm. That's at Spruce and 8th. If you need me to email you your ticket, tell me by the end of the day tomorrow.

I will probably be wearing a #15 Jim Edmonds jersey. If you can't find us, text me.

If you think you might be late, let me know so I can email you your ticket. If you're late and didn't get your ticket by email, I'll have to stand around outside the stadium and wait for you. I'd rather not do that.

Wow it's this Tuesday! What are the details Michael?

Hiya guys. So this is coming up next week, and RSVPs are closed. I'm going to buy tickets in the next day or two -- I expect they'll be in the $15-25 range each. If that's a problem, let me know. I'll probably walk down to the box office and try to get 6-7 seats each in two consecutive rows, rather than one long line of 13 of us.

In the meantime, if you can't make it, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP NOW. Once I buy tickets, you owe me money for tickets. If you leave me hanging with an extra ticket and no money -- well look, just don't do that. That'd be mean.

    Okay. Cool.
