Trivia Night at Flying Saucer

I've met more than a couple trivia night enthusiasts through this group, and it just so happens that the trivia night at Flying Saucer is very fun and pretty challenging! Last week, Team Troglodytes (me and Bradley, from this group) came away with third place and a $15 Flying Saucer gift certificate. First place gets a $50 certificate, so that's the goal.

I think we should make this a regular event, and by our powers combined I'm pretty sure we could dominate the competition. If there are a lot of RSVPs, we can split into a few teams (5 per team seems optimal in terms of splitting prize money anyway).

Details on the calendar (http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/stlouis/calendar).

You know the drill: lots of awesome beer, full food menu, excellent/classy people. The announcer tries to wrap things up before the game ends and Cardinals fans flood the streets. We're especially in need of sports trivia fans, but even if you don't normally excel in any subject, you might be surprised at how many you'll know.

Going to be there around 7:45. If you don't recognize me, I'm a dark blonde wearing jeans and a big scarf. I'll probably sign us up as the Trivial 20-somethings, so that's another way to find us.

Grab my buddy and I on your way in. I'm wearing a purple shirt at the bar.

BTW, I'm going to try to get there early to snag a table and sign us up. If everyone shows, we might have two teams. Put your team name suggestions here, and I'll pick one when I show up. Puns totally welcome!

I think "hooked on Ebonics" would be a good team name.

Maybe the Trifflingly Trival Twenty-Something Tyrants? Or maybe the Trivia Facts Machine?

I can bring the tech trivia, history, politics, some philosophy. :) I can't do the sports or pop-celeb trivia. :(

That totally works! There's usually some history and political history thrown in.
