That's not a error. This craziness goes down at 4 AM! Eat your wheaties, get some coffee and grab that paddle! It's go time!
This is a BYOB (Bring your own BOARD) event. There will NOT be a trailer full of rentals. Don't have a board? Talk to Shane and he can sell you one. Or...often, other folks will have extra boards they will be willing to lend to you for a small fee, just ask.
This is a paddle for the experienced river paddlers only. We go UP the river. In the dark. Through some rapids. We keep a quick pace. You will work. Hard. Whiners will be fed to the river carp.
Lights aren't usually necessary. There is a good amount of ambient light to see the way. As the days get longer, the sun will start rising sooner. Right now, the sun is peeking up just before we get off the river.
Meet at the Greentree Boat Ramp at 4AM sharp. We will paddle up as far as we can (usually to the bridge at 141, depending on the current), then spin around and be back to the ramp by 6am, so everyone can get to work on time.
Weather permitting, this is a weekly event.
Bring: SUP, Paddle, PFD, something to drink, good attitude, maybe a set of dry clothes to keep in the car (things happen).
