Survival Basics for Suburbanites

Okay, just for those of you who are intimidated by the thought of traveling into the city for our meetups, we will be holding a Survival Basics for Suburbanites.

Here in the Jeffersonville Golf Club we will have an overview of the basics needed to keep yourself and loved ones safe in the event of some sort of disruption to our grid system.

This S&T presentation is being hosted by a group known as Citizens for Liberty. They are a multifaceted group that are focused on uniting folks that believe themselves to be on the Left and the Right side of politics, finding common ground.

While Survive and Thrive Philadelphia never deals with politics, supernatural or metaphysical beliefs aside from those contained in the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, CFL has requested our presence and we shall rise to the occasion.

Many families are without great resource in the forms of available money, time, supplies, teamwork and knowledge. This meetup will address the needs of the least among us. The least prepared with the least amount of cash, strength, space and strategy. We at S&T are here to serve.

For all who feel overwhelmed and underprepared these days - this meetup is for you.

Don't take this effort for granted, show up with a positive & proactive attitude.

We will cover the bare bone "Grid Down" basics here :

Survival Psyche - balancing the heart and mind with strategies that keep us alive through trauma

Water- effective gathering, cleaning and storage

Heat and light- keeping warm and cooking without burning down your home

Food - what to buy and how to store it, grow it & cook it on a very low budget

Sanitation - dealing with waste and maintaining good hygiene

Security - powerfully simple things that fortify your home and keep your loved ones safe

And a whole lot of tips and tricks that most people don't know but should

This meeting will also a great time to show your face and start  meeting more like minded individuals if you want to participate in our upcoming S&T Grid Down Networking  sessions.

If you wish to order food and drinks please do so before our meetup starts promptly at 7pm. While this meeting is designed for the unprepared, seasoned preppers are welcomed to come and chime in with worthwhile lessons and ideas on these topics.

These meetups are always free and done in service to humanity, please bring friends and family of all ages and backgrounds. Note taking and respectful A/V recording/sharing of the presented material is encouraged. An S&T meeting info sheet will be sent out ahead of time so that you may PRINT your own copy ( printing a few extras is a nice thing to do for others ).

We never allow fear to rule our presentations. We simply love and think well enough to keep our DNA humming in tune from one day to the next. Mindful of our homeostasis. In these actions we honor our ancestors and their untold struggles for us. We empower our future as humans in families and tribes  through the free flow of information and action. You are not just a drop of rain, you are an important part of a very powerful storm that has raged longer than you can imagine.

Take care.

Loved the handout! So much information, and while having a presentation is easier to absorb the info because you can interact and ask questions, there's only so much that can be covered in 2 hours. Thank you for the time that you put into the information so that we can read it on our own and have a nice reference.

Always inspiring to hear Fernando speak. Most of the info in this presentation had allready been shown to me in previous meetups. Anybody who enjoyed this meetup should definetly attend the other meetups for more in depth info.

Hi Chad, it was nice meeting you that evening. Thank you very much for the print out. It is very helpful, and I am going to read it carefully. I am new to meetup and am still figuring out how to respond to your message directly. I will definitely follow up with more events. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you again soon. ;-) Angela

This is always a 5 star event for me, as I always gain something new to bring back to friends and family in our quest for being prepared for any kind of an emergency. Fernando has an amazing ability to inspire and get one "moving" in the right direction in keeping us safe without the fear factor. Thank you !

If your even remotely serious about survival or just even keeping your family safe and want to connect with a good group of people... than you GOTTA JOIN THIS GROUP!!!
