while the best way to learn your native plants is through practice, below is a great website you can used to get started. Occasionally Wildman Steve makes ventures to PA and NJ to teach plant identification.

I'm sure you have also noticed the print materials you can get such as some pamphlets and field guides available at Barnes and Noble in the nature section. There is also a great book BUT IT IS NOT FOR AMATEURS... Botany and Healing: Medicinal Plants of New Jersey and the Region by Cecil. C. Still. Currently there are some dirt cheap versions on Amazon.

***If you think you know what your doing you better be sure because a lot of stuff can seriously hurt you if worse if you haven't done your homework and there is a lot of look alike stuff out there.
