Board #2 @ Starbucks Palo Alto Stanford Ave & El Camino

Glad to see the group is taking shape.

Hopefully Palo Alto Starbucks @ Stanford Ave and El Camino works well for most.  Drop by for as long as you've got time.

Agenda for first meeting:

* get to know the folks in the group

* discuss some general group principles of the group as an extended Advisory Board

* Break off into 1-1s, if it makes sense,  for people who would like to start to see if anyone in the group fits as a prospective Advisory Board member for their own enterprise

* Show and tell if anyone has some cool hardware to demo (for non-stealth projects)

* Announcements and status updates (anyone in the group can announce a milestone or seek group advice)

I'm open to suggestions on how to run this.  My previous meetup experience was running the SF Node.js meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Node-js-Serverside-Javascripters-Club-SF/) which was more of a community management role.  That group started with 1 person, and was at 1500 when I stepped down as meetup organizer.  I'd like to keep this group small enough to be effective, and leave open the option to split off new Bootstrap Board and Brew meetups per geography or industry focus.

Great to meet some folks in the group. Looking to build out this network of expertise as we get more opportunities to convene.

Thanks for coming folks! We had a group of 5. As discussed, we will have a G+ Community. I've set it up: https://plus.google.com/u/0/comm...

If you aren't on G+ and would like to join the community, please get onto G+, and then request an invite from the link above. The purpose of the G+ Community will be to offer active members a place to post communications in a semi-private manner, for group members only.

No worries. Traffic was a bear just driving down the little stretch of El Camino that it took me to get here. I'm easy to find ... the only one who has a ridiculous looking Surface Pro.

I'm at the main table. Look for the guy wearing the Hangover "Vegas" shirt, black, and the bootstrap. CU all here.

If you've got any demo gear, feel free to bring it. Love to hear about what other people are building. Also, would be interested in hearing about anyone's experiences running a kickstarter/indiegogo campaign.

I would prefer PM times as I live in Los Gatos and commute is easier, but certainly others have the same argument from the north. THanks for setting this up. Hope I can learn from the group.

@ brian boschma I will be happy to host something over in LG area, as the Starbucks @ Blossom Hill Road is open late. That would work well for people who are tied up between 5-8 which tends to be when most PM meet ups happen.

my work schedule is more flexible than my family life, so getting together during the work day would be easiest for me, or early evening.

@ Keith Hendley I agree, AM is easier in general due to kids, homework, dinner hour. I'll likely focus on AM or lunch hour for the majority of meet ups.
