The name says it all. This group is for Hardware bootstrappers who need an informal board (of peers) and would like to have meetings over brew (coffee or the beer kind). Unlike other meetups for startup types, this is sponsor-free.  There is no big company trying to sell product/services and there are no infomercial sessions.  Our focus is on helping the group get through the process of building hardware products.  We will keep it technical as it needs to be, and informal and flexible as possible to meet the needs of board members.

Come to share your story, work out a problem, and get some advice from your bootstrapper's board. The goal for this group is support, in the form of business advice or technical expertise. A secondary goal is collaboration. We may find it useful to share source, war stories, resources, and service providers.  A third goal is of course, have fun while we play this game.  Collaboration would be a nice side effect.  I'd like to build a hardware business. How about you? We will be hosting these informally, sometimes daily, sometimes just weekly or monthly. I work around the South Bay, but happy to meet elsewhere if time is permitting.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
