Cloud Computing Security Knowledge- Basic (26 February 2012)

The Cloud Computing Security Knowledge- Basic class provides students a comprehensive one day review of cloud security fundamentals and prepares them to take the Cloud Security Alliance CCSK certification exam. Starting with a detailed description of cloud computing, the course covers all major domains from the Cloud Security Alliance Guidance, and the recommendations from the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA). This class is geared towards security professionals, but is also useful for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of cloud security. (We recommend attendees have at least a basic understanding of security fundamentals, such as firewalls, secure development, encryption, and identity management).

Note: This course covers version 2.1 of the CSA Guidance, which the current CCSK exam is based on. Key principles have not changed in the new guidance, but have greater depth. Differences in the recently released  version 3.0 guidance will be highlighted.

Price includes test token to take the CCSK exam.

TechAmerica Foundation’s State and Local Government Cloud Commission (SLG-CC) Silicon Valley conference at Microsoft’s Mountain View campus.

To learn how to benefit from the unique interplay between the cloud and SLG, please join California Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed, and a host of public and private experts at the unveiling of an exclusive new report: "The Cloud Imperative: Better Collaboration, Better Service, Better Cost."

This half-day event takes place on Thursday, February 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Mountain View, CA
