I want to thank everyone on their diligent efforts to have us be a contender for the Kinect Challenge. Girts has simulation working with the Pioneer, and is adding the Kinect to the model.

Ralph has gotten mapping and navigation wired, will be adding actions to drop and label waypoints on the map. Steve Dill'o is going to attend IROC with me, and is dusting of the wireless heat mapping as a possible tool for localization. Victor is pushing for the omlp to help get point cloud data into our planner /mapping. Everyone has been able to get the Simulation and the Mapping working on their computers. Great work

I have ordered a top of a line laptop with a 8GB Cuda GPU to hopefully have the horse power to make the planner, localization, obstacles detection as fast as possible. Expecting delivery[masked] The next meeting we should have kinect data in the simulator with the Pioneer, plus ability to create way points while mapping and navigate to them

    Thanks again

I still don't have my car; I may get a delivery today, but not sure. If I get it, I will be there around 8-8.30. Sorry.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
