Hack for Health-Thanksgiving Weekend- Health 2.0 Silicon Valley

Do you want to meet knew friends and make a difference in health care Thanksgiving weekend? Health 2.0 Silicon Valley is hosting a hackathon for health apps Friday thru Sunday at Hacker Dojo.
If you have development or UX talents and want to meet like minded people, or you just want to get together to discover and create solutions for healthcare, come join us at Hacker Dojo.
Bring your left overs, ideas and friends.

Some of us started a project at the Prebacked hackathon three weeks ago and it has gained a lot of interest. If people want they can help finish the development of a simple way for expecting parents to create a personal birth directive in minutes and share it with supporters and caregivers. Did you know it is more dangerous to give birth in the US than 49 other countries? The app can help expecting parents compare health services and options using quality and cost metrics, in order to create personalized plans for the most important day of their lives. Unfortunately, expecting parents in the US often sacrifice their desired experience needlessly for the sake of false security.

I think we should crowd source problems before the event circulate them before we start.

Was a really great place to mingle and exchange ideas with others and then to work as well. On the hackathon format, I think the problem was that there was no clear champion who actively drove the team to do work. Thats fine because there is no immediate startup founding for the birthplan app planned. Lets iterate on the organization of the hackathon - I'm happy to take on a PM role. BTW, I'm totally guilty of that as well as I had to do homework and incubator deadlines at the event as well. Thanks a lot to the organizers! Awesome stuff! Lets do it again and again!
