STEM Fair - Anoka-Hennepin District

The event is from 8:00 - noon

This is the annual STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Fair for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. If is for grades 6 - 12

We are looking for judging and data entry volunteers. You DO NOT have to have any experience in these fields. We will be judging for creativity and categories like this. We have done this the past couple of years and is a lot of fun.

Here is a link to see what the STEM Fair is all about.

Stem Fair

We will be fed a light breakfast when we arrive. We will finish around noon and then be fed a box lunch with a chance for us to sit and talk about the neat projects we saw.

We need to have the final list of volunteers to the organizer to assign us our spots; therefore, we are closing the RSVPs 3 days prior to the event.

If you need to cancel within 72 hours of an event, you must email the leader to let them know.

Seeing so many kids invest time and energy into science is highly rewarding.

Could use some clarity and maybe preprinted forms for a smoother judging process allowing a little more time to talk to the students. The kids participating are always so fun to talk to and such a joy to see their creativity and efforts. Got to love them.
I would really like to see "Science Fair" as a regular class offering giving students some individual creativity experience, maybe not as involved as Karin Sather's projects, but still something to be very proud of.

It was a lot of fun! I'd like to suggest that the SVTC groups somehow meet up prior so we all know who is who. I didn't realize who was from our group really. But the event was fun!! Thanks for organizing, Kevin!

I enjoyed seeing the projects the students put the time and efforts into. Some were so excited explaining their projects.

Not a science person at all, but this sounds really fun.
