Sonny Vu Founder & CEO of Misfit Wearables, makers of highly wearable computing products, including Shine, an elegant activity monitor (Red Dot, GOOD, A' Design Awards). Founder of AgaMatrix, makers of the world's 1st iPhone-connected hardware medical device (Red Dot, GOOD Design Awards), shipped 15+ FDA-cleared devices, 1B+ biosensors, 3M+ glucose meters. Worked at Microsoft Research on machine learning / linguistic tech. Studied math (BS, UIUC) and linguistics (PhD, MIT). Knows some interesting languages and is a patron of great product design. Longing to make 10x solutions to humanity's greatest problems.
Dhananja Jayalath Founder & CEO of Athos. Recently graduated from University of Waterloo with a passion to change the world through advanced technologies. Enthusiastic about developing hardware and software for the mobile consumer electronics market and embedded devices. Specialties include embedded systems, Linux, and BSD. Experienced in circuit design and verification, and fabrication with composite materials, electrical hardware/software verification, embedded software development and, wood working.
Steven Eidelman Steven is the Co-Founder & Head of Product at Whistle, where he and his team have led the charge in designing the brand’s flagship wireless monitoring system for pets. Steven co-founded Whistle following his time at Spectrum Equity, where he focused on investments in consumer Internet and digital media companies. Previously, he drove strategy for Warner Music Group and worked with a number of tech, healthcare and private equity clients while at Bain & Company. Steven graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in political science, with a focus on international politics.
Jason Gui Jason is the Co-Founder of Vigo, the first personal energy gauge. Jason holds a degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Marketing and Operations Management from the Wharton School. Previously he founded Three Fellows, a video show showcasing the lives of international students in the US that garnered millions of views and partnerships with major TV stations, and Xinci.so, the Chinese Urban Dictionary. Jason has been building hardware and software devices ever since he built a dumpling-maker out of Lego as a kid. He has lived in China, New Zealand, Australia and now resides in San Francisco.
Benjamin Tseng As an Investment VP, Benjamin Tseng is responsible for analyzing investment opportunities, assisting on financings for new and existing portfolio companies, and helping portfolio companies on M&A and strategic matters. Prior to DCM, Benjamin was a Senior Associate Consultant with management consulting firm Bain & Company in the Bay Area where he advised several technology clients on strategic and operational issues. He has experience evaluating new markets, strategies, and acquisitions, and covered verticals including semiconductors, mobile, eCommerce, and next-generation computing systems.
