Let’s head over to Cook and Durham parks for a walk.
Location:Cook Park is located south of Durham Road at the end of 92nd Avenue near Tigard High School (17005 SW 92nd Avenue)
We will take a 4.5 mile walk around Cook and Durham Parks.
- We will start by Shelter #4 and head out the walking trail by the Butterfly Garden Gazebo towards Durham Park.
- We will loop through Durham Park’s northern trails before heading back to Cook Park.
- After getting back into Cook Park we will walk the wooded trails down along the Tualatin River and come out behind the Baseball Fields.
- We will continue along the path into the neighborhood walking trail and turn around after w reach the roadway at the top of the "hill" and circle back to our parking area.
Anyone that wants a shorter walk can head back to your car as we circle back from Durham Park, or break away at the baseball fields. Total walking distance should be about 4-5 miles.
On the banks of the Tualatin River, the 79-acre Cook Park is the largest park in the City and has something for everyone.
Cook Park’s river location provides easy access for canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and many miles of scenic waterways. Look closely and you might see a great blue heron or a river otter among the variety of wildlife visible throughout the year!
Dog Friendly Park requires them to be leashed and poo picked up.
**Out of consideration for your other group members, if you are unable to make it on the walk/hike please change your RSVP to not going any time before the start time. We do have a waiting list of people interested in attending this walk.
