Rob's Annual St. Baldrick's Participation

Come join me for my 4th annual shave supporting St. Baldrick's - which began as a challenge between friends and has grown from one event in 2000 to over 1,300 events in 2012, raising critical funds for childhood cancer research. Events take place in pubs, restaurants, schools, churches, parks, malls, military bases, firehouses and any other place you can imagine.

You're welcome to donate at:, but come out and have a good time with friends regardless...

Through the years, many people in my life have been affected by the diagnosis of cancer. However, none has directly impacted me more than my father being diagnosed in 2008. He fought a brave battle of which I am proud, but in the end succumbed to the disease in January of 2009...

There are many generous people in the world, and my blessings to each and every one of you. I'm asking each person who reads this to donate $1. If everyone spares just $1, it will go a very long way to accomplishing our goal - and helping the fight against cancer. I can't wait to participate in this event, and I am setting a personal fundraising goal of $500.

I chose the date of March 9th, 2013 for several reasons... I will be participating in two fundraisers that day to include “St. Baldrick’s” in the afternoon, along with “Bowling for Boobs” (a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness) that evening. Please join me and help celebrate life while overcoming trials and tribulations with a great group of people and some wonderful friends!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the children and families that have had to face the diagnosis of cancer in their lifetime. I support this cause from the bottom of my heart, and can't wait to show my appreciation through any means (or hairs) possible =)

Afterwards, several of us will have lunch down the road at Joe Daniels, located at 12218 S Harlem Avenue, Palos Heights, IL 60463. We will most likely get to the restaurant around 3pm, a separate Meetup will be posted for this event...

Please feel free to email, call or text me with any questions at[masked]!!!
