I am one of the leaders of the Naples group and held an open house for the We Surround Them viewing. I am also on the We surround them ning. I am committed to this country and our Constitution. We have to leave it the way we found it!

We have attempted to set up this clearinghouse group to help plug people in to small groups and along the lines of their passions, knowledge, skill sets and interest. I think that once these get going, this group can just be a clearinghouse of what groups are in our region so as recruitment happens people can know where to plug their recruits in so they can move immediately towards the action they crave. Lori has said (a few times now) something that I wanted to mention, but forgot to mention. People are getting together on a grass roots basis because we are simply tired of the government trying to get in our business and in our face in the move to big brother control. For some a hot button is taxes, others gun control, others the bills they are passing, others learning why this is a problem to be able to articulate to others. Our goal is to identify all the groups and match those groups with individuals whose interest can assist. We are well on our way and that is exciting!

The SWFL 9.12 Project exists to unite, educate, and take action to preserve the U.S. Constitution and founding principles.

Glenn has a simple challenge for Washington lawmakers:

Are you in or are you out?

If your politician doesn’t believe, support or reflect these beliefs in their

actions then they aren’t supporting you. More importantly, they aren’t

supporting, protecting or defending the Constitution.

To Congress, the 5 Pledges

1.I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.

2.I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry

during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until

our economy has rebounded.

3.I believe more than four decades of U.S. dependence on foreign oil is a

travesty therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately

increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural

gas and coal as necessary.

4.I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will

support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering and why and I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations, or any other entity, power over U.S. citizens.

5.I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and

therefore will not apologize for policies or actions which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.

Meet with local fans of the nationally syndicated talk show host, Glenn Beck. Our group brings together Americans in Southwest Florida that do not want America to continue on the road to Socialism and want to stop the extreme government spending. Our group desires to protect the Constitution and the principles and values that have made America the land of opportunity! When we all come together we realize "we are not alone" and it inspires us.

We offer seminars and book discussions to educate and an Issue Watch to keep members informed. We assist and support groups and events that promote limited government

and protection of our liberties. Town Hall meetings, candidate forums and voter's registration events will be presented in the future. See the calendar below for Seminars being offered. The Book Club is presently reading the "The 5000 Year Leap".
