I use screenconnect. It allows you to install a client so your can 
reconnect at any time to offer support. It has a Java client that you 
can use on Linux. I believe there is an issue with it and open java so 
you will have to download the Java version from Oracle.  It can be found 
at www.screenconnect.com.
