**UPDATE on the GETTY**

If you've already signed up for "Going to the Getty " this coming Saturday, March 24th, then just read the first paragraph.

If you're still waiting until the last minute to decide if getting up before noon on a Saturday is worth "Going to the Getty" for then read the whole post.

Paragraph 1:

Apparently and without consulting me first, they decided to close down the Gardens for some renovations. Can you believe it?? This knocks my idea of a picnic lunch after a garden tour for a loop! But still not a good enough reason to cancel a perfectly awesome event. This just leaves us more time to venture around the property and see more of the unique pieces of art they have waiting for us this weekend.

If this changes your plans, update your RSVP. If not, see you there!

Paragraph 2:

If you've always thought you could use a little more culture or you've never been to the Getty Center before, here's your chance.

You know the place. You've probably passed it at least a dozen times as you drive over the Sepulveda hill on the 405 freeway. Or maybe you heard about it and thought, I'd love to go but not all by myself.

Well, again, here's your chance!

So far we have about a dozen people who can make a commitment.

Sharing a ride helps cover the cost of parking which is $15 per car. Parking is the only cost you'll have on this event besides souvenirs or food. The museum it's self is completely free.

Check out the actual event post for more details on ride sharing and early morning breakfast options.
