Get together with other hikers with kids. If you have an idea for a hike and would like some company, everyone is welcome to initiate an activity and we’ll gladly post it. “Plan the hike and they will come". Our average hike is generally 2-5 miles and there is usually a nice lake or picnic area for folks to stop short and catch us on the return if our little hikers would rather collect pine cones or chase lizards. All ages are welcome. A brief BIO and your PICTURE are required.

American River Parkway - Ancil Hoffman Park
Time to work off all that food you ate on Thanksgiving Day! Let’s take the kids and dogs hiking! We will be hiking a 3 mile hike that outlines Ancil Hoffman Park. The park is dotted with ancient oaks and bordered on two sides by the American River, is home to the renowned Effie Yeaw Nature Center. On the trail, we will see herds of deers, turkeys, many species of birds and frogs. Read more
