Get together with other hikers with kids. If you have an idea for a hike and would like some company, everyone is welcome to initiate an activity and we’ll gladly post it. “Plan the hike and they will come". Our average hike is generally 2-5 miles and there is usually a nice lake or picnic area for folks to stop short and catch us on the return if our little hikers would rather collect pine cones or chase lizards. All ages are welcome. A brief BIO and your PICTURE are required.

The American River Parkway is and amazing strip of forest right though suburbia. We enjoy the single track trail on the south side of the river that begins from about a mile upstream from Watt Ave. We meander along single track for about a mile and a half with wonderful scenery all along the way. Beautiful river views and amazing wildlife right in our backyard! We return to where we started (Larchmont Park). Read more
