Hike at Ancil Hoffman Park

American River Parkway - Ancil Hoffman Park

We will be hiking a 3 mile hike that outlines Ancil Hoffman Park. The park is dotted with ancient oaks and bordered on two sides by the American River, is home to the renowned Effie Yeaw Nature Center. On the trail, we will see herds of deers, turkeys, many species of birds and frogs. Dogs are allowed on this trail, but not the others in the nature area by the Effie Yeaw Nature Center.

The entrance fee is $5 at the kiosk.

Pack a lunch! After the hike we can all have lunch in the picnic area. There are many large playing fields for the kids to run and play, so bring a ball or a frisbee.

The Effie Yeaw Nature center is also a great place for the kids.

Free parking if you tell the guard you are going to the golf course. And its not a lie if you swing by the clubhouse , but I think you have to park in the golf parking lot. Just sayin
