Let's go Whale Watching on a 65' ft. boat by Bodega Bay!
I've always wanted to go whale watching on a boat, but didn't want to go by myself, so I thought I would invite my favorite meetup group! I've spoke to the owner and if we get a large group of people, he'll give us a discount. Should be amazing and the kids will love it! It's a little pricey, but it's one of those things that you got to do once in your life. Hope you and your child can make it!
Here's info from their website:
From January until the end of April we offer Whale watching.
This is one of the fastest growing family activities in California and one that imparts a renewed sense of respect for the awesome variability of our ocean. We try to offer a morning and afternoon trip most days for your convenience.
The 2012 season was outstanding in the Bodega Bay area. Because last year's temperatures and current conditions most trips had superior viewing opportunities (we can't have all the luck every year!) for watching these giants parade past on their way south, and then for the return north in early spring. The Dahls Porpoise that we usually see 20+ miles offshore ventured in closer much to the delight of all on board. We also had very unusual Blue & Humpback sightings into September!
We offer 2 trips per day; departing at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The tour is 3-4 hours. The fee is $60 per person. Children under 40 pounds are required to wear a life jacket when we are away from the dock, so if they have their own, it will probably be more comfortable than one of the boat jackets.
