This is an easy 1.6 mile hike, but there is an option to hike to more waterfalls if you have a compass or gps.

Hollow Falls is one of the many waterfalls you can find on Table Mountain in the Oroville area. These waterfalls only flow well after a lot of rain, so be sure to come during the rainy season. Hollow Falls drops 69 ft. and is a lovely cascade off the beaten path, which not many people go out to see here.

To get to Hollow Falls begin walking from the parking area in a north west direction along the fence line. You will soon reach a creek crossing (which hopefully will be flowing). Follow this creek down to the falls, staying on the north side of the creek. It is possible to get down to the base of Hollow Falls if you with, though there is also a very nice overlook from the top of it.

This hike is an easy 1.6 miles. Perfect for little ones. There are many other waterfalls in this area that can only be seen right after a good rain. If your adventerous, then bring your gps and well scout out the other amazing waterfalls within a couple miles. I discovered two last year and they were breathtaking. You must have a compass or gps, because alot of the scenery on Table Mountain looks similar and it's easy to get turned around. Who's up for an adventure?

Got to meet the group - Yay! Thanks for putting it together, Heidi! I'm sorry we weren't able to find you guys again after Hollow Fall... we tried, but the area was so vast! We wished we hadn't gone to Hollow and stayed with the group instead for Jonah's benefit!...

It was a great first meetup with this group. It allowed us to check out a place we not have known about otherwise, the people were nice but it was conducive to us doing our own thing as well.

I wanted to do it on Sunday too, but Kayden is doing his first 5k on Sunday morning and I don't think he'll be up to hiking a couple miles afterwards. If it's raining too hard on Sat. I will make it Sunday.
