Clear Lake Anderson Marsh June 8-10

 June 8,9,10 camping Friday and Sat night.  Clearlake Resort, located in Lake County CA, is beautifully situated right on the shore of California's largest natural lake, offering breathtaking views and tranquility.   Their are 75 spaces available for RV's. All spaces have full hookups (some are pull-thru and some are back-ins).  I will be blocking 5 sites for tents or trailers or motorhomes.  We can put up to 6 people per site. The cost will be $35.00 per site per night. Full Hookups.  With 6 in a site that will be $6.00 per person per nite.  The sites will be on the waters edge To make your life more comfortable they also have a number of amenities close at hand for you. There is wi-fi internet access throughout the park, as well as a foodstore and laundry. Each site has a picnic table and a ring fire.  For those of you that dont want to camp their are 3 motels in the area.  You can email me for the info on the motels.  Tule Maze at Anderson Marsh - 6 mile loop.  A favorite among birdwatchers, this is a scenic loop around Indian Island into the tule marshes of Anderson Marsh State Park, and traversing back into Cache Creek and the western shoreline of Clearlake.  Wetlands of Long Tule Point - 8-10 miles round trip
A bucolic paddle along Clear Lake’s largest remaining natural shoreline, past cottonwoods and ancient oaks and small waterfront hamlets. Far-reaching views of Mount Konocti, the Mayacamas mountains, and the north shore.  Rodman Slough- 8 miles roundtrip
A peaceful excursion through Rodman Slough—passing Great Blue Heron and Double-Crested Cormorant rookeries (nesting areas)—to the culvert at Tule Lake.  http://www.konoctitrails.com/water-trail-loops  Skill Level:All, beginners welcome. Easy paddle. Liability: Kayaking can be a dangerous sport. By attending this meetup you assume all responsibility for your safety.PLEASE indicate in your RSVP if you can drive and how many passengers/boats you can carry. Chance of mildly adverse weather does not cancel event 

  • Merge onto I-5 N toward Woodland (from downtown) - 58.5 miles
  • Take exit 578 for CA-20 toward Clear Lake/Colusa - 0.3 miles
  • Turn left at CA-20 W - 37.0 miles
  • Turn left at CA-53 S (signs for State Route 20/Williams/US-101) - 6 miles
  • Turn right at Dam Rd - 148ft
  • Continue straight onto Old Hwy 53 (Destination will be on the left - 1 mile
  • Cost for the trip depends on amount people that will attend.

    We had a great time winds calmed down sat and sunday. We kayaked Rodman Slough. Had a nice rib cookout. On saturday night we also went and played minture golf in the town of Clear Lake. For the people who did not show up it would have been nice if you would have let me know or call the resort to let them know you were not coming. Pics to follow
